Mother Of The Earth, Wife Of The Sun, Giver of Life

“Always fill the whole you made,” said Dubesya. “Ever leave a place as you found it and I will shelter you.”
The Mother of the Earth takes the dying seed and gives it new life. She swallows decay and from death she brings growth and life. She is the spouse of Alkymbre whom he visits once per year.
In the Sect Of The Guardian Spirits change is made by burying in the earth which is why homes and vessels are made of stone and clay. Prayers and offerings to Dubesya are made through burial. Since humans are not Dubesya's creation it is sacrilege to bury a human in the earth or inter them in stone. The Sect believe that a buried person will be rejected and risk rising again as the Angry Dead.
