Jonathan's Sacrifice
Summary
Jonathan was an ordinary-seeming person who was close to a strong adventurer named Ardon Dexter. Ardon was already among the strongest, but he had yet to feel an emotion necessary to realize his final set of abilities. Jonathan and Ardon went on an adventurer and fought against a powerful, crazed wizard. Ardon was weakened from the fight, and a wave of arrows was about to finish him. Jonathan saved him by getting in the way and taking the hit for him. Through the grief of losing his best friend, Ardon's dark-based powers surfaced, making him a much more formidable adventurer. Ardon killed the wizard mercilessly with the new abilities he had.
Historical Basis
A wizard had been ravaging the Elvish country for a few months, and Ardon was hired to kill him. Jonathan, a regular person who came from seemingly nothing, accompanied him.

Many people don't know about it, but all of those who are close to Ardon or Jonathan know of the news.
Variations & Mutation
Due to it being shortspread, the variations aren't significant. Some say that it wasn't arrows that killed him. Some believe that Ardon used his as a shield.
Cultural Reception
Only those close to Jonathan know of it, but they celebrate it yearly. On September 6th, the day of the death, they drink to his honor.
In Literature
The only place where it has been written is in Ardon's records, where he added it himself.
