Bena elves (be-na)
"Forsaken by Narmiraen." They are Surta elves, who were driven from their homes by Segai beastmans. Gathering together, under the leadership of Queen Glysaris, they tried to fight back, but many were killed. The survivors wandered in Evera, homeless and damning their creator. Finally, The Dragon Goddess took pity on them and elevated Glysaris to the ranks of the gods so that she could continue to lead her people. However, even this could not calm the anger of the goddess and her followers. Eventually, the Circle of Glysaris turned away from Narmiraen's creatures and teachings, threw themselves into the depths of the mountains, and in time forgot their roots, only their hatred continued to burn.
Unlike their fellows, bena elves live only 300 years, their hair and skin are slate gray, and they turn white with old age. Their eyes shine in the colors of gemstones: emerald, sapphire, amethyst, less often gold, silver, or almost transparent (diamond). Diamond-eyed elves are usually completely blind. In dark passages, bena elves rely on their hearing and sense of touch, but they illuminate their homes and communities. If too many of their tribes live close to each other, they go to war among themselves, either subduing or destroying their rivals. They have a deep hatred of all other elves, but occasionally trade with Humans or other races. Sometimes the chief of the bena elf tribes are an evil dragon, who grant protection in exchange for their services. Bena elves despise fairy magic and nature magic, but excel in elemental and power magic. They naturally tend towards chaos and evilness.

"Bena elf man in white robe:" fresco from a Bena elven temple. Probably a memorial to a fallen warrior - even in the Circle of Glysaris, only women can be priestesses.
