The Gnomes of the Elemental Plane of Fire
In the deep and dark land of the Elemental plane of Fire, far from the Demons, Firedragons, Bena elves, and others, cheerful and hard-working folk built their tiny kingdom.
The legend says that once upon a time the Dragon Goddess dreamed of new life, that brings joy and peace in the ever-warring Plane of Fire. From her wish, a Lightdragon volunteered to help her with this latest creation. She was Sansavi, a priestess of her goddess. She became the mother of the new race. Sansavi left the Elemental Plane of Light and made a nest for her blessed eggs. Ralgoth, a Demon Warlord, learned the tale of the creation and went there, to enslave the children of the Sansavi. The two fought a great battle but could not deal with each other. Ralgoth lost his power, the Dragon received a fatal wound. Her blood flowed on the eggs, and the Picu gained their natural invisibility.
The newborn race adapted quickly to the Plane of Fire. They grow mushrooms, and other plants and keep giant rats, snails, and similar creatures for food. They are deeply devoted to the Dragon Goddess.

In the Fourth Era of Evera, many portals opened between the Core and the Elemental Plane. Some curious Picu migrated to the new land, and they established new kingdoms in Ilia Bay and the Costae Islands.
Picu's in most cases look like large fairies, but they are closer to the Dragons in terms of their characteristics and abilities.
Picu's are small, like two feet tall, and have moss-green or sky-blue hair (inherited from their Lightdragon ancestor), men have bushy facial hair, and since they like food, drinks, and smoking on dry mushrooms, their shape is usually closer to round.
Picus live in a commune, unlike their capital, Pearlpass, their villages are small, with only 20-30 houses. Each adult has its own home, and the children are brought up by the community. They celebrate simple success and everyday work instead of organizing elaborate events or spectacular festivals and holidays.
