High King Of Dragol

The High King of Dragol is a seat of power that has existed since 65 D.Y, during the founding of Onye Aloura. First held by High King Dronos and then passed on to a Mageocracy then transformed into a coucil until eventually the Position returned in 287 D.Y when the Hawkhold name would take and hold the position for the rest of Dragols history.

Qualifications

The entire support of the Capitol of Onye Aloura combined with an overwhelming amount of individual power. Usually a country level famed feat of some kind is required to be a canidate.

Requirements

Originally the only requirements were that the people of Dragol and Onye Aloura chose and support you as their High King however due to actions of Henry Hawkhold at the start of the Dark age; the position can only be held by those of Hawkhold lineage.

Appointment

The previous High King Nominates and elects a candidate from their future lineage and the would-be High King would have to accept and a Ceremony held in Onye Aloura would take place in which all in the Kingdom would gather to watch the ascension of the new High King of Dragol.

Duties

The High King Of Dragol not only has the Diplomatic duties of having to lead and charter all of Dragol but also has the responsibility of Defending it. All previous High Kings have been notoriously powerful. Names like The High King Dronos, Henry Hawkhold, Elizabeth Hawkhold the 1st , Elizabeth Hawkhold the 2nd. All were capable of destroying the entire country of Dragol if they wanted, instead choosing to protect and uphold the will of the High Kings of the past.

Responsibilities

Depending on the Era of Evermoore the responsibilites of the High King change. In the Royal age the High king would be answering to The W.A.L on a daily basis for updates and political meetings. In the Age of Discovery the High king was facilitating the largest assets under the capitols control, like The Dragol Armada.

Benefits

Outside of the Benefits of Having the Entire capital of Onye Aloura look up to you, there are several other benefits to being High King. One of the most significant ones is accessibility to En carcem mori. The world's most dangerous prison. Often used as a way to communicate with the world's most dangerous criminals - Criminals that otherwise would never see the light of day. The ability to converse with these doom souls is a blessing in disguise as much of their knowledge and techniques are valuable to mercenaries and mages alike.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

For the the role of High King to be removed or dismissed it would most likely have to be taken by force, as even if the entire country unanimously decided to vote them out they would lack the force to do so.
