Spyder Isle
Furthest into Sylvan Bay is Spyder Isle its rocky mass rising high above the surrounding tides with some cliffs reaching over 50 feet above the high tide mark the island is a rich mixture of limestone and coral its cliffsides riddled with sea caves. Most of these sea caves are too small or dangerous for ships but maybe small boats or canoes can venture in them or closer to shore. Reefs and the surging tides make it difficult to anchor a ship no closer than a mile or two offshore. The island hosts dense Bramble Thorned trees, Scrub Olive, and Windswept Dwarf Cypress along with a twisted version of Ironwood. The island is inhabited by colonies of Giant Spiders, Giant Scavenger Birds, and Tribes of Goblins who have the skill and where with all to make pets and ride animals out of these creatures. Hence this is how this island got the name, Spyder Isle.
