The Astrian and a tall, slender silvery skinned race. The most magically inclined race and revered as the most powerful but also the most private of all the races. They stand 6.5ft tall, they have sharp features which their architecture is inspired by, their eyes are a silvery grey and their attire is often luxurious and light. They favour staffs, longbows, and magic.
The Astrian race is only an option if your character’s origin is based on another settlement in the world and you have never visited your people’s homeland for one reason or another. With the region of Aurora being enveloped in death and shadow for 250 years you would have been born outside the home region.
• +1 Intelligence, +1 Wisdom, -2 Strength / Constitution.
• Bonus Skill Magic.
• Gain 1 Effort Point.
• Commit Effort for the scene as a Main Action to hurl a blast of energy at a target within 30ft per character level. The attack is made with Magic as the combat skill, Int, Cha, or Dex as the attribute, and a bonus to hit equal to your character level. It is not hindered by melee foes. On a hit, the attack does 1d6 damage plus your character level and attribute mod. The blast may have collateral effects on objects in the case of hurled fire or a torrent of pressurized water, but any conjured matter vanishes at the end of the round.
