‌Ever Reverent and Industrious Docks

Compound containing warehouses and docks. Operates 25 hours a day, lit by fish tanks containing small glowing sea life. Fire, including pipe smoking, absolutely forbidden. Owned and run by families who are licensed to load, but now they hire day workers to do the actual labour while they supervise. Dock workers brotherhood is an attempt to organise for some power, but more militant or influential members somehow stop getting hired. Workers are hired for a shift or when a large ship docks, and paid in Day Tokens.

Many of the smaller piers are on a mud flat that is uncovered part of most tides. In addition to being used for quick hull repairs and cleaning this is also the site of the Ankle Markets, considered a Graveyard Bazaar despite not being a graveyard. It is the best of the markets for foreign food or goods but the worst for larger items, and the hours are sometimes inconvienient, dependant as they are on the tide
