Stormcrow rescued Cruel Joke from the Black Rods by talking them down. Prefers to call the boy "Puck"

Looking for a central location for his spy ring Marag finds the Sanctimonious House of the Golden Lord, a poor tea shop. Run by a pinched faced proprietor

who is a spy (terrible roll, -2), good location for spies but already in use

whose wife is the owner of the building. They are not connected to the families of the town. He tends to talk to his customers and is a soft touch for debts (if given a good story)

Witness a parade down the Serene Canal by the Wyld Hunt, celebrating the death of an Anathema. Marag disguises him self as a young woman, jumps onto the barge and steals a backpack on display before jumping away and escaping. They meet Hallow who can decode the scrolls in the backpack.

Meet Hallow, go back to the Temple of Tranquil Pools, he shows them the library and invites them to come back.

Sold info about a murdered matriarch who was tormenting rebellion

Sold info by ex-major domo from the capital (his house was destroyed by the Dragon Blooded), could probably marry into a servant family with enough money to put up the right lifestyle.

Husband had his wife and her lover killed by a "shadow-puppet", for about 30 dinar (resources 2), ritual to summon Nox Spiritumis leave an offering of shadow money (with a note) in a niche to the Realms honourable dead (Glory of Sacrifice Remembrance Garden), burn special incense and the next night Nox will show up where the incense was burnt. Not going to Nox next, want to work out what is going on first.

How does LEO work? Official force but not much use and bribe oriented (again families are the upper management). Some local unofficial stuff, plus the Copper Scorpion as vigilante.

Writing a letter to the Worshipful Registrar of the Port of Dragon’s Jaws:murders, rumours that the prince did it. Have info that it was a hired killer, who is a sorcerer

Registrar is in a town house, not a palazzo. Brand new in the role, on his honeymoon ("registering his own marriage was his first act") Marag-ang delivered letter to the Registrar, got him to understand why it was important, he's sent off a message to the Prince, wants Raven to return the next day at 11 to see if there is a response.

Marag met registrar again, he was thanked and rewarded by the Prince of the Shore but told it was someone else dealing with it. Paid little Raven in Jade.

Matthias storm crow followed a man following black rods, but lost them when he literately ran into the silver haired hostess (Snow Melt). escorted her to the docks to buy nail polish.
Got lots of money in a game at Jade Fox with Garret Ward & Frozen Dolphin.
Agreed to return jewellery to FD in return for cash.
Did not admit they were the ones who took it.

Looking at buying a junk or other ship to use as a home. Realise one of the ship’s already being used as a home near the markets is a Lintha pirate, probably a HQ with the ability for a fast escape.
Plan: Kidnap a pirate to use as a patsy for the theft,then rescue the pirate for the Lintha.
Ship: Captain & mate are Westerners. Mixed crew, west, south, An-Teng. Most important person on board (Uncle) hasn’t been seen.
One (hereditary) dockworker handles much of the supplies being loaded to go out, grabbed him to hand over to the Fallen Magnolia at a place with a back entrance
Next Week: May or may rescue the guy, revisit the spy network, may try to buy the tea house.

Harrow tells them he needs a code key to finalise decoding the scrolls, which is probably in the Monastery of the Tides and most of the monks are in Steel Lotus tonight.
Scout out the monastery, religious ceremony in the courtyard. Broken in, slaughtered the two monks guarding the puzzle box. Have 2 short daiklaives, artefact trident, sack of cash and ledgers. Gave key to Harrow, hid the trident on a roof in case it’s attuned

Examining the ledgers - Red Soil Family have reduced donations recently, Fallen Magnolia Family have relatively low level of donations. About a year ago large donation from (great house scion), not clear why they would be here. Money still goes to Wyld Hunt at the national capital
Buying the Sanctimonous House, keep the current manager as the manager (his wife is the current owner), renamed Glorified House of the Golden Lord

Old Man Fig hired as info gathered at the Golden Lord (introduced by Puck), looks much like Raven’s old man disguise. Good at gathering info, even better at concealing what he does (better than he wanted to appear)

Looking for a new chef, Mathias look for street vendors with Snow Melt, ate lunch at House of Ahlat.
OMF gave two candidates: younger son of hereditary dockworkers who prefers cooking; lady who lost her restaurant due to accusations of poisoning. Senior Black Rod, and a Realm Merchant dead within a few days of each other, rod was an existing customer. “Ma Tess” as fake name, given a light disguise.
Marag & Tess went to house of Ahlat, saw Shuri & Trihorn having dinner, former was recruiting the “boy captain” to go to the Realm, latter was looking for advice and lessons. Tess has ideas for Tengese Fusion, will also be going to Alabaster Precinct to look for tips on improving food.
Use network to look for info on poisonings, recruiting permanent agents. Getting courtly clothes for Marag-ang & Tess ready for the Gala at the Jade Fox.

Marag-ang: Seasoned Criminal Method

Realm merchant: Cynis Tarelef, non-Exalted Dynast. Was looking to arrange merchant ships to the south, outfitting with shackles. Looks like a slave raid.
Stormcrow wants the network to look for connections between Tess and the murder victims. In the end Fig and Marag talked him out of it.
Two ships are now going South (to look for valuable shellfish) and West (speculative trade to Coral in rare variety of blood oranges)

{used by Scorpion to search for the would be Satrap}, two different cover orgs.

Black Rod was a Patrician (they don’t know what that is) from the Realm. Was one of the original recruiters.
Wyld Hunt Shikari are now in the Monastery, don’t seem to be investigating anything.
Ex wait staff left the country 3 days after the second murder with her entire family (sailing East), no one saw them leave and she actually left 5 days before the first murder.
Gala.
Met 5 young DBs, including Sorcerer. Will be going on a trip to the High Lands (to a location suggested by Marag) escorted by some of the garrison.
Snow Melt will be spending some time off with Stormcrow
Made contact (via Prince) with Prince’s spymaster to discuss summoner assassin in the next few days.

More info gathering at the gala (garrison & fallen magnolia info). Next morning Hallow’s package arrives. Stormcrow finds it suspicious.
Marag-an meets the Prince’s spymaster walking in the parklands in the Precinct. Arrange to get a prison for the spy, front the money (and Marag can provide the victim just in case).
Major Domo has found a family he can marry into with a level 4 purchase to clear their (secret) debts. Paid, success with Style.
Look for a place to ambush/summon the killer. Find somewhere with a 6
2 FP against Stormcrow from stunt.
Trying for the shadow assassin next week. Considering getting a barge (or a catamaran on existing hulls) built as an opera house/theatre

Start a smaller theatre barge being constructed, will take 2 to 3 months for the main construction.
Meeting the assassin/front man in a burnt out bunkhouse fitted with traps. They are intending to send the assassin after head of the Black Rods.

Mostly planning & thinking. Followed a Nemissary to the Home Shore Graveyard, it was scouting for an attack (finding blindspots, avenues of attack etc.) on the Temple of Tranquil Pools. Left its body in one of the few Mausoleums (for ship captains) which they thought would be a useful resource, entered the sea scouted there for a while then left underwater. Alerted Hallow to likeliehood of attack. Old Man Fig told Marag-ang that he knows of an axe that can hurt ghosts, it was used by an Anthema in the Middle Lands about 20 years ago before he was killed by the Wyld Hunt. Not sure if it was found and taken by the hunt, but if it wasn't OMF can work out exactly where it is

Went upriver in the Golden Mistress, attempt by shore land lord to commander turned around. Were about to be ambushed by bandits but Stormcrow bribed them. OMF led to the cave, got axe, they now suspect he’s a solar. Question him on the way back, motives are drive the dragon blooded out of An-Teng; and infiltrate the PCs spy ring. Met Nemissary, asked to be met partner he’s leading them away (both excellent, Craig refreshed to boost stealth). He is planning on killing Marag-an for the body, since he doesn’t actually care about the money. Marag tried to slow things down by claiming didn’t have the whole amount, Nemissary raised price from 30 to 40.

Stormcrow follows Matalabar to an apartment block (found out brother & sister were killed by someone who smashed in, they haunt the apartment and Matalabar claims they have been exorcised).
