Purpose / Function
The Strike-Ops Legionnaire's Disciplinary Institute of Education and Refinement (SOLDIER) is a secondary education center in the heart of Brandow city. It's sole purpose is to create the best and brightest soldiers in the empire. Most graduates of the academy are places into the higher ranks of the empire's millitary force. as such the institute is highly renowned and revered as a ticket to the good life.
Alterations
SOLDIER has been the premiere institute for the empire's military training and peacekeeping officer's development. It was initially a small building located near the center of the city, next to the Brandow estate. However, due to the War on Two Fronts, the facility was destroyed in 269 ATF. As a safety precaution, SOLDIER was relocated to the west end of the city, and consequently grew into the institute it is today. SOLDIER consists of several wings:
The East Wing: Classrooms A-F, Mess Hall, Office
This wing consists of the first 5 classrooms that teach War theory, alongside the mess hall, and main offices. These classrooms each have a 20 soldier capacity and the east wing is capable of training 100 soldiers at once. Each class has extensive books and resources with the most modern tactics available. This wing was founded in the initial reconstruction and was originally the entire school. This reconstruction was possible thanks to venerable donations from the Brandow Estate and a kind donation from the legendary adventurer Joergen Altaris.The West Wing: Classrooms G-K, Weapons Testing
This wing contains another 5 classrooms, alongside the Weapons Testing labs and firing range. The weapon testing labs contain high quality tinkering tools and items to allow students to tinker with, deconstruct, and modify weapons as they see fit, and the 20 stall firing range allows ranged combatants to hone their skills! This wing was constructed from 300 ATF to 303 ATF and was later renovated throughout the years to adapt to newer technologies being created. In 605 ATF, a brand new technology was unveiled in a newly named Battle Sim wing. it features a state of the art battleground simulator with an innovative REALLUSION technology that creates a battlefield scenario around you with up to 10 enemy combatant illusions! this marvel of magic allows soldiers to train in real scenarios with little risk to the soldier. This alteration has skyrocketed combat intelligence in the empire and has influenced the world over to join in the arms race towards educating the world's soldiers in the best way possible
