Lake Koron
Lake Koron is a very large lake in the center of Aeshanadoor . Yios , the capital city of the Court of the Lambent Path, is built in its center. The Hablon River flows into its north side, near the busy fishing village of Aruati . From there, a very long, low bridge extends southward several miles into the lake, interrupted by a small station with towers, and then terminates at Yios in the center of the lake. Two other similar bridges extend from Yios to the east and west, and the bridges are illuminated at night by a series of lanterns. The lake has three tiers or levels, contained by dams at Yios, where a series of sluices allow boats to move downward, and arcane elevators transport them upward.
The waters of the lake, especially around the edges and where there is movement, glow blue from a natural bioluminescent essence contained within the water. This ethereal light illuminates Yios from beneath, giving it its soubriquet "The City of Flowing Light". Each of the city's docks have a lighthouse emitting a different colored beam of light, so that fishing boats can identify which one to return to at night.
To the south, the Lapis Channel flows outward toward the Beryl Sea south of Aeshanadoor. For the most part, the lake is surrounded by jungle.
