Diarchy of Uthodurn

A major city-state in northern Wildemount, where rule is jointly shared between twin elven and dwarven thrones. In the harsh, icy north, survival is paramount, and there is little time for the petty rivalries and politicking that preocupy Uthodurn's southern neighbours. Here, the peace is kept, aided in part by this survivalist mentality and in part by the benefits of geographic isolation. The dwarven Thane rules the lower reaches of the city, which tunnels ever deeper into its namesake mountain, while the Elven King rules the surface city and the surrounding forests.
