Last we left off, the party arrived to Sharkfeather Abyss to find the ruins of Palma Flora beneath the ocean. Upon arriving the party was immediately ambushed by some Sahuagin who quickly attacked and retreated back to the ocean floor. the party pursued them to find Malachai conducting a ritual at the center of the decimated town. The party forwent an opportunity to Parlay with Malachi and attacked the underwater tribe. while initially the party's chances of success seemed questionable due to an uncoordinated attack, they persevered. As the Sahuagin‘s ranks dwindled, Nemeia saw an opportunity to procure the Rod of Retribution from Malachai as the rest of her party struck her down once and for all.
In surveying the aftermath of the battle, the party discovered the body of a former colleague, the cleric Freya, whom they abandoned as Palma Flora sank some days ago. The party decided to return to the surface and reboard the Wavechaser, uncertain whether they would uphold their end of the deal with Three Earrings and her crew or attempt to keep the prized rod for themselves.
