Session 8: The Pale Light

General Summary

The party wrapped up their investigation of the recent strange events near Halnen Acres, coming to some additional awareness that greater, divine forces were at play. Deciding to head north along the coast back toward civilization the group set Tyoden Locks as their destination. With Verdi Requiem and Homo Floridicus scouting ahead, they noticed a strange, but familiar greyish-white light emanating from the nearby tree line. Deciding to investigate, Floridicus came upon a ruined shrine seemingly protected by plant-like creatures who quickly defended the site upon feeling threatened. They retreated deeper into the woods only to send forth more monstrous, hulking behemoths that attacked the invaders. Some members of the party noticed a magical source of energy at the center of the shrine. 
Esormaj Everring stepped forward, drawing their wrath as the party oscillated between attempting to make peace and overtly attacking the creatures. We left off in the midst of battle.
