Vandurion
The Republic of Vandurion with its capitol Vandrath is one of the major powers on the great island of Eorantis. It is the most politically advanced country of the landmass - here, elected officials care for their voters and the good of the people and no nobles or monarchs rule as petty tyrants over a helpless populace. At least on paper.
Technically speaking, Vandurion is a meritocratic soviet democracy.
Due to a history of bloody warfare, sentiments against the bordering kingdom of Eldereth among the older parts of the population are usually quite negative, at times openly hostlie, while the younger generations that grew up in times of peace have on average a more positive outlook on the elven lands.
