skin-climber

An individual approved for and employed to exit a Megastructure (especially an Arkology) to tend to its exterior surfaces and structures for inspection, repair, and maintenance.
Skin-climbers wear hermetically sealed biosuits when Outside. This is both for practical purposes and to mitigate resentment from the general populace. It is still, though, a highly coveted position with rigorous requirements for the duty.
