Orlando Metro, Florida

Over the course of 500 years this city and the surrounding cities have had a massive economic boom and population growth. Orlando Metro consists of Orlando City Proper, and nearly the entirety of the Floridian state of america, excepting Miami. The growth of this city is greatly due to it's proximity to the Atlantic Ocean and the Equator, making it an ideal location for rocket launch sites. In the city proper, massive skyscrapers are very common, and can be seen from nearly a hundred miles away. It is home to many space technology companies, manufacturers, offices, and wealthy individuals. The surrounding area, despite having a higher than average density, is dwarfed in height comparison to the Orlando Towers. The further from the city central, the shorter the buildings become, eventually becoming predominantly single and double story businesses and residences, with a heavy focus on hydroponic agriculture business for sustaining the city, fisheries, chemical processing plants, and warehouses for storing fuel and parts for space shuttle launches. Most of the less wealthy denizens of Florida live and work in the outskirt regions of the city, and work is typically easy to find and reach. Underneath of the city lies a dense network of subway rail lines connecting different districts of the city, and a central station linked to the rapid trans-continental transport project linking the city proper to the city of Miami, and the city of Atlanta. The region still suffers from the effects of the global warming crisis and localized atmospheric disturbances caused by frequent launches. As a result, much of its infrastructure and public activity has transitioned to a nocturnal cycle, with the city having more activity during the cooler nights than during the blistering heat of daytime. This has made it very popular with people transitioning from living in space, and has a thriving subculture and "nightlife".
