Lorcan Blackwood

Lorcan Blackwood, the elusive and malevolent sorcerer, emerged from the shadows of Aeritain's court with ambitions that transcended the boundaries of power and lineage. Born into the prestigious Blackwood family, Lorcan displayed prodigious magical talents from an early age. However, despite his innate abilities, his master, the court wizard Breccan of Brynmore, chose Trevelyan over him as the successor, a decision that would sow the seeds of resentment and vengeance.   Returning to the Blackwood estate, Lorcan began a dark and calculated ascent to supremacy. The mysterious deaths that befell his male relatives became stepping stones for his own rise to prominence within the family. Manipulating the arcane arts and dark rituals, Lorcan bolstered his own power while eliminating potential rivals.   The ongoing power struggle between Lorcan and the ruling monarch, Good King Henry, intensified when Lorcan's insidious plans extended beyond the Blackwood estate. The failed kidnapping of Princess Anne became a pivotal moment, revealing Lorcan's true intent to seize control and spread chaos throughout Aeritain.   Facing the consequences of Lorcan's malevolence, Good King Henry confronted the sorcerer in a desperate attempt to protect his family. The ensuing confrontation resulted in a grievous curse inflicted upon the king, leaving him on the brink of death. Trevelyan, the court wizard, found himself unable to reverse the curse, setting the stage for a tragic turning point in Aeritain's history.   As the kingdom mourned the death of its beloved monarch, Lorcan Blackwood eluded capture, disappearing into the shadows. Trevelyan, bound by duty and the ongoing threats posed by the malevolent sorcerer, called upon adventurers to pursue Lorcan and bring him to justice. The fateful quest, however, ended in failure, leaving the cursed adventurers to wander the world in search of redemption.   With Lorcan's whereabouts unknown and the throne now under the regency of Lord Athenry, the dark legacy of Blackwood continues to cast a shadow over Aeritain.
