Eléventes Imperium
The near continental Human lead empire which ruled most of Les Eléventes for almost 3 centuries. The Imperial motto, Sanguis Terrae, translates to "blood of the land" in old Elevian.
History
After the War of Scales, humanity had assisted in destroying the apex predators of the world. Despite their inherent lack of abilities, humans were able to adapt and learn to fight those above them on the food chain, but they were not yet at the top.
The Jotun became the most powerful conquerors on the continent. The creation of the Ordning ensured the direct rule of Giants over humans. However, after thousands of years of servitude, humanity was once again able to overcome those above them. With new technology and advancement in human magic, an alliance of human-kind became strong enough to actually fight the Jotun. After years of destructive war, the alliance evolved into an Empire.
A century of war left the Jotunate weakened and in pieces. The vacuum created by their absence and an abundance of humans lead to a near continental conquest. It wasn't until after Hell's Calamity and the Devil's invasion of Exodia that the Empire saw its end.
Disbandment
The first sign of the collapsing Empire was the Auran Secession Incident. In the following decades, dozens of territories once loyal to the Empire demanded independence. For most of the past millennia, the continent has been divided into many different nations and states.
