Vae has heard the whispers of what could be in the East. With all the crazy rumors, there could be a solution there. This is her last shot. She’ll risk her life for a cure. Embellishment and stories can’t make up for this flaw.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Vae's toned physique lends to her fighting style. She dances around her foes and stays light on her feet to avoid being caught. Both her physical and magical skills are rusty since, until recently, she hasn't needed to rely on those skills to travel other continents.

Physical quirks

Vae wields her primary weapon in her left hand and her secondary in her right. She uses her right hand for releasing spells.

Special abilities

Vae honed her magical skills to be highly desired while fighting in the skies—thunder and lightning magic. She knows other spells, but is not nearly as adept at using them.

Apparel & Accessories

Vae wears scale mail over a thin undershirt. Covering her armor is her Fleet-issued coat. The coat is navy blue with white trim and the symbol of the Western Fleet in white on the back. Tied around her right arm is a piece of cloth with a metal insignia attached. She wears simple pants and simple boots.

Specialized Equipment

• Her Fleet-issued saber doesn't leave her side. The pommel bears a small inlay of the Western Fleet insignia.

• Vae also wields the Temporal Claw. The blade is translucent sky-blue glass, and the hilt is silvered steel.

• She keeps a short sword and a few daggers for back up.

Personal history

Vaelynn had always succeeded when she set her mind to it. She was never really above average, but she could excel just slightly above most. And even when she was coming up short, she was good at crafting stories that bolstered her faults. Her own tall tales about herself (and friends) inspired her to seek out tales from all over.
She joined the Western Fleet since it was the easiest way for her to collect folktales from around the world.
Then she left the Fleet for other pursuits. Pursuits that failed and left her broken. Doing what she did best, she hid her failure behind lies and tales. But it wasn't enough to mend her.

History

Vae and Arslan met at the Rainbow Koi, with several others traveling to East. They traveled together through the ruins of East, growing closer. Arslan's young age pressed Vae's concern over his survival and made her feel some responsibility for his well-being.
When traveling out of the Nightmare Realm into the Dreamscape, Arslan is kidnapped by an unknown force. Now on top of her original goal, Vae seeks to rescue Arslan from his captor.
