VIKNGR Drop Suit
The VIKNGR Drop Suit is a suit of power armor specifically designed and built by the Skyriders for their troopers. These special armored suits have built in life support systems for vacuum, as well as high-intensity jump packs with no sustain function for quick jumps or high-acceleration redirection. The Skyriders developed these suits for ship-to-ship combat in the void, so their warriors could board ships unexpectedly and disable them or, in rare cases, even destroy them.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
Included in the system is a life support system, giving a warrior enough oxygen for one hour unassisted in vacuum. The helmet is vacuum sealed and provides oxygen through ventalation tubes, though it also has filters that can be used on-world to allow a warrior to breathe normally. These filters can defend the warrior against chemical, biological, and radiological weapons, however, serving a dual-function. Also inside the helmet is a heads-up-display on the inside of the warrior's visor. Sensors can be switched to allow for thermal and night vision, as well as a target assist function and, if desired, a database of known species, weapons, armor, and more that a warrior can reference in moment to enable them better tactical awareness.
The body of the suit is equipped to enhance the speed, agility, strength, and endurance of the wearer. It includes in it a jump pack with enough force for short bursts of power, but not sustained flight. This allows the wearer to jump great distances or quickly reposition, and is primarily designed to enable boarding of enemy ships in vacuum. They are also equipped with grapples, both mechanical and magnetic, and a tractor-beam assist that the wearer can enable to be drawn back to the ship.
History
The Skyriders took to the stars as warriors, merchants, traders, and explorers. In so doing, they crafted many fleets of powerful starships that helped them make their way across the stars. Many of these fleets, however, do not host the large, powerful capital ships that other fleets do, instead relying on smaller warships and starfighters. This is where the VIKNGR drop suit came in.
These suits were specially designed power armor for the warriors of the Skyriders so that they could safely eject themselves into space and attack enemy ships. With smaller ships that don't pack as much punch, the Skyriders discovered that their ferocity and their near-stupid courage could enable them to take on greater fleets and more powerful ships. Thus, the VIKNGR allowed them to breach enemy ships in the one way they would never expect: actually breaching the ship.
Modeled after the TOR Power Armor, the VIKNGR suit enhances the wearer's speed, strength, and endurance while providing balistic and energy protection, but enabling comfortable fighting from vacuum. This was put to the test, of course, but the first time they were truly tested was against a Vrak fleet led by a capital ship. The Skyriders found themselves alone and without support. The freighter at the head of the fleet, the Stjornestur, launched warriors wearing the VIKNGR suit into void to attach an enemy warship. They attached, breached the ship with explosive charges and energy weapons, and laid waste to the crew.
From then on, the VIKNGR suit became feared. The Skyriders were known for being crazy enough to launch warriors unassisted into void to attach themselves to ships and cut their way in, whatever the cost. Without wings or mech suits or even a starfighter, their warriors were getting onto enemy ships and forcing fights their way: with blades and blasters.
Significance
The VIKNGR made the Skyriders famous across the galaxy as pirates and raiders, despite the fact that this was only a fraction of their culture. It added to their fearsome reputation as warriors that were not to be trifled with, seeing as they could board an enemy ship even without a shuttle to use.

These suits are found only among Skyriders. In order to get one, one would have to either be a warrior of the Skyriders or purchase it from them, which is unlikely.
