Void Serpents

Void Serpents are sleek, serpentine beasts that navigate the twisting tunnels and vast caverns of the Umbra with effortless grace. They have smooth, pale scales that blend seamlessly with their surroundings, and their elongated bodies can reach lengths of up to thirty feet. Their heads are adorned with a crown of bioluminescent frills that they use to communicate and attract mates.

Behavior:

Void Serpents are highly intelligent and cunning predators. They use their agility and flexibility to weave through the narrowest of passages, and their acute senses of smell and heat detection allow them to track prey with unerring accuracy. They are ambush predators, often coiling themselves in tight spaces and striking with incredible speed to ensnare their prey.

Unique Traits:

Void Serpents have the ability to emit a low-frequency hum that disorients and confuses their prey, making capture easier. Their bioluminescent frills can also be used to communicate with other serpents or to lure prey closer. They possess a unique gland that secretes a corrosive acid, which they use to digest their prey more efficiently or to create new tunnels in the rock.
