The once thought defeated Vecna was temporarily calling the God's layer of heaven home. Vecna was the one person standing between Lord Karsus and Godhood. Lord Karsus killed a Tarrasque, a hydra, and a Gold Dragon just to create a spell that would render him a Demigod. Karsus killed Vecna in God's layer of Heaven and completed his ascension. Karsus is the God of Magic, or, more commonly known as The Allhammer.

Karsus cast Karsus's Avatar and stole the previous God of Magic, Mystryl's, powers. Karsus is from a Continent to the south of Ezrion. When he attained demigod status by casting the spell, he vowed to the Prime Gods that he would kill Vecna and return them all home. He did just that. Mystryl, scared of Karsus's newfound power and arrogance, blocked The Weave so as to block Karsus from using magic, sacrificing herself in the end. This ended magic on Ji for a century, ushering in a Dark Age on Ezrion. Furthermore, the blocking of the Weave stopped Exitium flow from the Realms, resulting in the Realms colliding into each other, causing the Elemental Chaos.
