Gwynedd

Gwynedd is the oldest of the Welsh kingdoms, founded in the 5th century when the sons of Cunedda, King of Gododdin, took control of the lands between the rivers Teifi and Dee. For much of its history Gwynedd has been dominant in Wales, but it is currently experiencing a civil war between the sons of Owain Gwydedd, who died in 1170.
