Without warning, sea levels rise by over 400 feet in the span of 4 days, inundating most of the settled areas of the "primitives" and nearly wiping them out.

The Panchak (the adventuring group of Aruna, Viresh, Asra, Sakshi, Holika, and Kelvish) managed to get aboard one of the two Samraaji spaceships and sabotage it, causing it to veer sharply into the other vessel. As a result of the collision, both vessels threatened to plummet into center of populated lands, which would have caused unparalleled disaster. With the guidance systems destroyed, Holika elected to stay aboard the crippled ship and use it to nudge and ram the other vessel northward, out of the civilized lands. She kept her post on the burning bridge, maintaining her heading despite the fires raging around her. Her sacrifice allowed Aruna, Viresh, Sakshi, Asra, and Kelvish to escape via an escape pod.

The two crippled and massive spaceships struck the northern glaciers, and the exploding reactors of one ship's engines melted the polar ice caps and sent a deluge of water that completely engulfed most of the native settlements on the planet.
