The surviving humans, Halflings, and elves reach higher ground.

The Panchak managed to eject before the crash on an escape pod, and used the floating pod (plus a couple of makeshift rafts) to save everyone they could. However, the survivors who managed to make it to higher ground numbered no more than 400 humans, along with 250 Halflings and less than 100 Elves.
