Midjourney and Faeloria

While building Faeloria, AI is used to create images to go along with the articles. These are generated via Midjourney unless otherwise stated. - Everything in Faeloria is free and not monetized, therefore I feel this is a similar approach to using free stock images as 'placeholders' to give a sense of the environment/scene/character. AI art will never replace the hard work and dedication of real artists and I will never use AI generated art to sell/profit from. (In relation to Ads on World Anvil, these are placed by the site itself by the creators and not monetized by myself!)
Edits of Midjourney images: In most cases I have personally edited Midjourney images to either merge images into a single image, remove elements, add or change sections of the image. These changes are typically minor.

ChatGPT and Faeloria

Chat GPT is utilized to help brainstorm for Faeloria but not used in Faeloria. An example of how AI is used:

Me: When talking about being a fae emissary and how it has been a positive impact on her life, what kinds of topics/touch points might Aurelia bring up in a speech?
GPT:
Cultural Exchange and Enlightenment: Aurelia could discuss the profound impact that her exposure to both Fae and Avarian cultures has had on her, enriching her perspective on life, wisdom, art, and knowledge. Serving her people and contributing to the betterment of both Avaria and the Fae Wildes would provide her with a profound sense of satisfaction and achievement.

As you can see, GPT is used to generate ideas in areas I am weaker at brainstorming for (Such as dialogue/speeches) or to help add more sub-heading ideas to flesh out an article further. The role of GPT is to be 'someone' who I can bounce ideas off and help to expand content in my world. I may at some point use GPT to generate conversations with NPCs (a possible idea for the future) however these will be clearly stated as such if ever implemented.

Don't like the use of AI?

Everyone has their own opinions about the use of AI and it's ethics. I have done my own research and feel comfortable with the way in which I use it and don't believe it to be an ethical issue utilized in this way. However if you are opposed to it's use in this way then Faeloria may not be a world in which you want to read, feel free to ignore it as though it never existed.
