Scholar's Square

Scholar's Square is Phlan's cultural, academic and religious centre and is famous across the Moonsea. Focused around the imposing Mantor's Library , small temples, shrines and academic offices have built up around it as well as a few shop fronts that cater to them. Most of the town's priests, clerics and mages can be found here, engaging in different areas of work and research. Debates are held frequently between the different disciples and new academic papers and researches are published here on a regular basis.

Points of Interest

• Denlor's Tower - a magically sealed tower owned by the Lord Speaker Cyrus Halshaw. Once home to the High Mage Denlor, no-one has managed to enter the tower for decades though many suspect that Halshaw is close to unlocking its secrets.


• Mantor's Library - a large stone library that forms the heart of Scholars Square. Contains a extensive range of books & materials from across the continent, including a number of proscribed materials that are believed to be sealed within the library's vaults.


• Temple of Lathandar - A small and run down temple dedicated to Lathandar (god of the dawn & birth). Once the ruins of a temple dedicated to the dark god Bane, they have converted it into a refuge to help the people and offer temple services for a small donation.
