The House Organization in Brocéliande | World Anvil

The House

The House is such a powerful organisation that it's spawned many sayings, most notably its own memorable slogan and motto: "The House always wins." But there are others including, "Never bet against the House" and the very popular, "best seat in the House," coined in 1900 by Beloss himself after a powerful premonition viewing for the board. It's strange, but not surprising that most of my friends are unaware of the largely secretive and powerful organisation behind those sayings. And that's because The House has taken many forms and names over the years. Currently its member's business interests span most large businesses in Broceliande: 1. Dragon Transport and Pacification Society Incorporated
  2. Knicknacks, an organisation thought to be run by Wyrden and his demons, sells many dangerous items, most famously The Quill of Forgetting
  3. Dream City itself and home of the immensely profitable Dreams
  4. Many of the local kings, queens, regents, prime ministers and other important figures from nearby territories are rumoured to also belong to this group. Rumours they all strenuously deny.
Surprisingly, the original building known as The House was left in disrepair for some time while meetings were held in the neutral ground of The Library of Alexandria But that is no longer the case as Wyrden and several others cited security concerns in the library, and now meetings are being held once again—or at least they're thought to be held—somewhere within the original building and current home to the aforementioned Dragon Transport and Pacification Society. The building is largely worked out of the stone that it was built in and is large enough to held smallish dragons in opulent rooms.   The original owners of The House and runners of said organisation are thought to have accidentally died after falling from the top of their building although no one can explain how their clothes caught fire on the way down.   And that is everything I can find out in this section of The Library about The House, Mz Hardcackle. Apparently, there's more on the floor that contains sensitive information for older students. But I'm top of the class. I don't see why I'm not allowed to take a peek!

Ahoy! Secret organisations always seem to be fun articles to write about. I love how well you linked other articles here, things flow well. I'm curious to learn more about how it works and why it came to be, but I reckon there's many secrets that are safely guarded here! Hope you're having a lovely Summercamp.

Thank you so much for your support, I truly appreciate it. :) Yes, I have definitely yet to discover a few of their secrets myself. Secrets that will no doubt be pivotal later in the Blood of the Fae series I'm hoping to finish this year!!! :)
