The Giant's Teacup is one of the permanent businesses that ring the Wide in Baldur's Gate, and is the original location for the enterprise. As the name implies, this establishment is a tea house and is famous in the Upper City for its collection of hundreds of different leaves. The clientele consists mainly of those who serve the Patriar families that make the Upper City their home rather than the Patriars themselves. As a business strategy, this has allowed the Giant's Teacup to spread to several other locations in both the Upper and Lower Cities and franchises are popping up in other cities, like Waterdeep and Neverwinter.
The tea house offers several ways to consume the beverage, such as outdoor and indoor seating, and even a pick-up counter so customers can take their beverages with them in disposable covered cups. Various desserts are available to accompany one's beverage experience, and even some simple meal items can be had for the servant on-the-go.
