Murder in Waterdeep
22nd of the Claw of Sunsets (3/22/1491)
General Summary
Shortly after collecting their reward from the Bonestalkers, the party was met by Jared Koren. He requested they join him on a trip to Waterdeep, to investigate a murder. Upon arrival, Jared revealed that his father, Kash Koren, was the victim. Upon investigation, it was determined that Kash had been killed his political input on a new law he had proposed that would result in a tax raise for the nobility of Waterdeep. The party also interrogated his butler, Alvin, along with the rest of the staff that worked at the manor. They came to the conclusion that Kash was assassinated by some sort of fire spell and a black steel dagger. Upon searching Kash's study, they discovered a hatch that led to a crypt beneath the estate.
The party entered the crypt and discovered several open coffins, and eventually discovered an acid pit surrounded by spirits...
