Brokenstone Vale
Brokenstone Vale is a forested valley in the Feywild, home to a very large population of werewolves. According to an ancient pact between the werewolves of Brokenstone Vale and the Court of Stars, no traveler was to set foot in the Vale, else their life was forefeit. In return, any werewolf found outside of the Vale was treated the same. The Maiden of the Moon enforces this pact with her silver blades and Moon Bow. While most werewolves live deep in the valley, those who wish to live as humanoids have a small community at the edge of the Vale, along the river that delimits its border. There, werewolves trade with fey for supplies they do not have, in exchange for rare wood harvested from deeper in the valley.
Despite the pact, the areas around Brokenstone Vale are unsafe. Many werewolves chafe at the restrictions imposed on them by the Court of Stars, and leave the Vale when the moon rises - especially the full moon. The howling of werewolves can be heard in the forested mountains surrounding the Vale, and the inhabitants of those mountains paint their doors with silver to ward off werewolves. The slopes of the Vale are covered in the wolfsbane plant, which is said to transform a werewolf back into a humanoid. However, the slopes are also frequented by witches and hags, who are as dangerous as the werewolves.
