Sir Isteval is a male human, Purple Dragon Knight, adventurer, dragonslayer, retired paladin, and widely-known hero. Hailing from the Cormyrian town of Eveningstar, he joined the Purple Dragons at a young age, fighting orcs, raiders, and the Zhentarim all across Faerûn in defence of his homeland. He has fought many battles outside his direct service to Cormyr, defeating foes such as death knights, vampires, Red Wizards, as well as various kinds of dragons - including a green dragon in the Winterwood, which gave him a permanent limp beyond magical healing. Sir Isteval is known for his noble-heartedness, as well as his valuation of loyalty and tradition.
