Scarlet Marpenoth

The Scarlet Marpenoth is a Lantanese submersible currently in the posession of Jarlaxle Baenre and Bregan D'aerthe. Commissioned in 1489 DR, it was purchased in 1491 DR by Jarlaxle Baenre during a visit by the Sea Maiden's Faire to the island nation of Lantan. The submersible is powered by a quasi-magical engine, and can safely descend to at least 3,000 feet underwater. Air is magically circulated through the submersible through a complex ventilation system. It can be operated by a crew of two - one pilot and one engineer - but Bregan D'aerthe has four rock gnome engineers on duty at all times. The interior of the ship is unlit and requires darkvision or a light source to see. While the submersible is unarmed, it is equipped with a defence system that electrifies the hull when activated.
