War Wizards
The War Wizards are the elite battlemages of the Kingdom of Cormyr. They are among the most respected, feared, and powerful magic users in Faerûn, rivalling even the Red Wizards of Thay. In addition to fighting on the battlefield, the War Wizards act as a security force for the Kingdom. They also serve the royal family directly as bodyguards, counselors, and spies. The organisation of the War Wizards is relatively loose and individual members are usually free to travel Cormyr as they see fit, patrolling for any threats to the Kingdom or royal family. While they often support the Purple Dragons on the battlefield, they remain a steadfastly independent organisation.
