Ziana Valeste

Ziana Valeste is a human woman, assassin, and member of the Crimson Blades. After allgedly murdering her parents, she was taken in by the Zhentarim and trained to be an assassin. She was trained in disguise, poisoning, seduction, infiltration, and other techniques needed to kill protected targets. She eventually left the Zhentarim after she was betrayed, and became an independent assassin for hire. She was later hired by Victor Amadeus Trelew to work for the Crimson Blades, at a cost of thirty gold pieces per creature she kills (in addition to her typical assassintion pricing).

Ziana is a highly skilled assassin, an expert in poisoning and stealth. She is capable both on and off the field, fighting monsters or eliminating a king. As a professional assassin, she has developed her own code of conduct for herself - namely, she refuses to kill anyone who isn't the target. This is not a moral code though, instead something she advertises for prospective clients. She prides herself on her perfection, rarely being seen and never causing collateral damage. Due to her skill, she finds the typical guard far beneath her talents. The Arrowheads, she feels, provide a good challenge for her, and she enjoys toying with them on missions.

Special Equipment. Ziana wears a set of glamoured studded leather armor and a pair of boots of elvenkind. She wields a pair of +2 daggers and a +1 hand crossbow.
Assassinate. During her first turn, Ziana has advantage on attack rolls against any creature that hasn't taken a turn. Any hit Ziana scores against a surprised creature is a critical hit.
Evasion. If Ziana is subjected to an effect that allows her to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, Ziana instead takes no damage if she succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if she fails.
Sneak Attack (1/Turn). Ziana deals an extra 14 (4d6) damage when she hits a target with a weapon attack and has advantage on the attack roll, or when the target is within 5 feet of an ally of Ziana that isn't incapacitated and Ziana doesn't have disadvantage on the attack roll.

Actions

Multiattack. Ziana makes three dagger attacks.
+2 Daggers. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d4+5) piercing damage, and the target must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw, taking 24 (7d6) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
+1 Hand Crossbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, range 30/120 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d6 + 5) piercing damage, and the target must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw, taking 24 (7d6) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Garrotte. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one Medium or Small creature against which Ziana has advantage on the attack roll. Hit: 8 (2d4+3) bludgeoning damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 15). Until the grapple ends, the target can't breathe, and Ziana has advantage on attack rolls against it.

Reactions

Uncanny Dodge. Ziana halves the damage that she takes from an attack that hits her. She must be able to see the attacker.
