Gurbak the Coward was a goblin hunter who despite his weaknesses tries to overtake the Cragmaw Tribe.
Shunned by his tribe, he worked as a freelancer across the Phandelver region.
Gurbak was shot by Ranvas when he investigated the ruckus outside of Cragmaw Castle.

Personal history
Gurbak was first met by the party during their assault on Cragmaw Hideout. There he tried to get the party to help him overtake the hideout, but was taken as a "friend" by Bene Lugosi. The current leader Yeemik struck a deal with the party to let him stab Gurbak two times in order to let him go.
Gurbak was able to escape during their visit in Phandalin.
Later on Gurbak was seen again during the party's assault on the Redbrand Hideout. Rescuing Gurbak from his captives, the party eventually let him go.
