Arthur Howe
Born to a working-class family he is a descendant of elves, although that part of his bloodline has become greatly weakened over generations.
His father was a Blacksmith and throughout his childhood and early teenage years, he would play and train with the swords his father made, already being skilled by the time he joined the guard and became a soldier. Throughout his training, he had ambitions of leading a nation or settlement against the forces of evil in the world.
After becoming a skilled soldier and wanting to fight the world's evils, Arthur was disappointed to find he would only be garrisoning settlements instead of going out to fight. He soon became dissatisfied with his guard duty and inaction against the world's evils, especially with growing fears and rumours of a dragon cult. He took it upon himself to go out, become stronger, defeat the cult of the dragon and any other evil threatening peace in the world, and protect the people he loves before anything got to them first.
On his quest for power, he came across and was soon trained by an old paladin living in the woods who was inspired by Arthurs's will and want to do good. Here he was noticed by the god Torm who sped up his training and occasionally interacted with him. All this led Arthur to swear an oath of Conquest. Vowing to protect the good things and people of the sword coast whilst conquering the evil of it. Soon with growing reports of the cult he left his master and headed north to face them. Joined by the Spirit of Torm who guided him.
Arthur soon hears of and meets up with a fellow cult hunter Ackyn Selebon at the Tall horse pub in Berdusk, who in turn introduced him to the remnants of the 'good guys who also have their sights set on the cult.

Relationships
History
Arthur and Lydia met in Waterdeep. Arthur quickly joined "The Good Guys", an order led by Lydia with the aim of stopping the evil that is the cult of the dragon. The relationship between Arthur and Lydia is largely built on their shared ownership of "The Battle Wagon", they both own a 50% stake in the wagon after they forced out Lufdoker Lightfoot Pedegrow Jr.
