Discovery, Exploration
Maccath the Red has agreed to return with you and convince the Arcane Brotherhood to join the fight against the Cult of the Dragon. You have even made a new friend - the Ice Toad Mafulb who has amassed and enormous library of history and data that will prove invaluable to the cause. You've sent for help and ships to come gather the massive trove of books, scrolls, and treasure but first you must clear the Oyaviggaton of the remnants of the dragon's troll and kobold minions.
With Arauthator defeated and the help of both Maccath the Red and the Ice Toad leader Makulb secured they begin efforts to gather all the accumulated knowledge in the form of books, tomes, and scrolls within the libraries of Oyaviggaton.
While they do that, you search the iceberg for the rest of the white dragon’s treasure horde, which is reported spread out among several chambers. You also need to either clear out his remaining Ice Troll and Kobold minions or convince them to help you. While the remaining troll fight to the death, some convincing deception by Brehana and Malice gets the Kobolds on you side by making them think someone else slayed their master and you are there to help.
You find that Oyaviggaton is vast, even more vast than you first thought, but you manage to locate the various treasure hordes. There are three (four if you count the room containing frozen Frost Giants). One, of course, is the cave in which you defeated the dragon. Another chamber on the upper layer of caves has more frozen foes of Arauthator - two remorhazes, a trio of behirs, five abominable yetis, and a giant squid of jaw-dropping size. But of interest to you is the complete longship with sail that has apparently been painstakingly disassembled and reassembled here. On its deck is a chest overflowing with coin and jewels.
And the final horde is also down below; a large area where it appears may have been Arauthator’s bed as dragons are known to like to sleep upon piles of gold.
All Total you discover (not counting the recovered Arcane Brotherhood library and Ice Toad books/scrolls):
Now all you have to do is let the villagers know they are free, get the coordinates from Captain Lerustah, and send word via the Diplomat’s Pouch to the Council of Waterdeep to get a ship or ships up here to collect everything.
