With only limited time to stop the summoning ritual, you begin attacking the Red Wizards of Thay that are helping Severin. Spread out across the vast Temple of Tiamat, the biggest challenge is getting to enough of them in time.
To that end, Malice activates the flying enchantment on his cloak and heads to the second level while the rest of the crew handles the ones below. This naturally gets the attention of Severin himself, who is levitating high above on the third tier forcing him to engage when Red Wizards begin dying and the ritual begins to falter. And so Malice finds himself nearly toe-to-toe in an arcane fight in the air.
Meanwhile on the lower level, Rargir damages the Temple itself using the spell earthquake while Brehana, Pubert, and Rikon use magic and ranged weapons to take out the Wizards on the ground.
Eventually, and possibly sheer luck, you manage to eliminate enough of the Red Wizards that they are no longer are able to maintain the ritual – this leads to them and Severin full on attacking you all, but they prove no match for The Iron Company and soon they all lay dead, the Mask of the Dragon Queen falling from Severin’s head and rolling to a stop at Rargir’s feet.
The ritual stopped and Tiamat left banished to the Nine Hells, all that is left is to mop up what’s left of the Cult of the Dragon and their allies.
