DIT 10: "Back to the Abyssal Prisons"

Somewhere, allegedly, within the Abyssal Prisons of the Doomvault is the lich Tarul Var. Perhaps he can unlock how to get into the Phylactery Vault, or at the very least have a way into the Temples of Extraction where you've heard is rumored to have the way into the Vault.
After dealing with the trapped glabrezu in the gravity maze, you try the room to the east of the gravity trap room. There you encounter a ghost named Sorlan. Despite Malice’s normal misgivings toward any undead creatures, Brehana is able to parlay with Sorlan and discover more information about the Doomvault. Sorlan was once an adventurer who was captured and imprisoned by the Red Wizards. He is now permanently trapped within the Doomvault until Szass Tam himself is destroyed. He shares what little he knows about the area known as the Temples of Extraction – that they are not temples at all but torture chambers where Szass Tam and his minions of imprisoned creatures known as the “Chosen”. These creatures are the chosen of their respective deities and by trapping them Tam hopes to achieve godhood himself by channeling their souls into the phylacteries.
He also knows that the only way into the Temples of Extraction is to obtain a glyph key attuned to a zone within it and those are only held by Szass Tam’s most trusted servants.
After leaving Sorlan, you venture into a room where you find yet another glabrezu but this one is chained and being tormented by a wight and several skeletons. You dispatch with the undead quickly and Brehana speaks with the trapped demon. Thinking he means to hunt those that trapped him, you agree to free him but being a demon, he chooses to first attack you causing you to have to end him as well.
With adrenaline still pumping through your veins you head north where you unfortunately trigger some kind of darkness trap which Malice dispels fairly easily. You then try another room nearby and there you finally find him – Tarul Var, the lich that reportedly runs the Doomvault for Szass Tam. Surely he’ll have a glyph key that can get you into the Temples of Extraction!
