Klamath Region

Mountainous and rugged in the region surrounding the vault. Vault-tek made sure to nestle their safehouse in the secluded recesses of the former Mahogany Mountains. Only one desolate and dishevelled road leads out to the wider Klamath region. The wider region is an extremely flat and dry landscape which is still scorched with the aftermath of nuclear fire.

Geography

The area is bone-dry and baking in the unfiltered sun, the air devoid of any moisture. There is a disturbing absence of any wind, rain, clouds, or anything that might indicate a chance that the weather may change for the better. The only thing you can feel is the beaming sun bearing down upon your head with fury while you stand in the cracked and dusty wasteland.   Under the scorching sun, the wasteland stretches out before you, a barren landscape where life struggles to survive. The lack of rainfall has transformed the earth into cracked and parched ground, it thirsts for a rainfall that will never come. The oppressive heat hangs in the air, making every step feel heavier, every breath more difficult.

Fauna & Flora

Humanity may have been left to wither under the irradiated sun, but life finds away as there are oases of life dotted throughout the region. Yao Guai (bears) roam through the hills and mountains of old California as they pray on the two-headed Twelks (elks that have mutated to have two heads) that wonder across the wasteland sampling luminous flora that appears to poke up out of the cracked earth.
