Enclave
The Enclave was a cabal of former senators, executives and military officers from the United States. Kept a secret from the American people, the Enclave was founded to maintain control over the populace. When the apocalypse finally came about the enclave retreated to various bunkers and redoubts and bade their time. They emerged repeatedly during the 22nd and 23rd centuries, and were repeatedly beat back by the New California Republic and the Brotherhood of Steel. Despite their rhetoric declaring them the future of America, the Enclave was very fascist and racial supremacist, making them a quick enemy of most of the wasteland. They met their final end to the Brotherhood of Steel in the ruins of Washington DC in 2278.

To purge the wasteland of impure mutants and humans, and reestablish a united, militaristic America.
Assets
The Enclave had a fleet of VTOL dropships known as "Vertibirds", highly advanced group of X-Series Power Armor, and several Science and Military installations and personnel.
Disbandment
The final President, John Henry Eden, was killed by the "Lone Wanderer" from Vault 101. In the following months, they and the Brotherhood of Steel beat them back to Adams Air Force Base, and decimated the last survivors.
