Personal history

Skaadius originally hired some shifty organization to investigate some strange occurrences in the Spider Den. He was vague about his intentions and refused to go through the guilds for this job. The organization took an interest in him; primarily for his ability to find them at all.
The organization saw value in these connections and allowed Skaadius to continue with his project so long as he worked within a few limitations, such as a non-lethal modus operandi and a refusal to target individuals that the organization put on a blacklist. He agreed and set up the newly furnished (but statically named) Spider Den. Time will tell how this project plays out.

Motivation

Skaadius aims to turn the Spider Den into a base for a thieves' guild outside of the grips of Mercenarium. Though it’s called a thieves' guild, he prefers to think of it as an “information and resource gathering center unconcerned with the law.” This line of thought spurred from the recently established Magic Item License Act, which a select few people of less-than-lawful livelihoods took issue with.

Despite coming off as well-spoken and sharp, Skaadius is more charismatic than intelligent. He knows how to talk to people and make connections, but he's not usually the brains of any operations, despite his desire to act otherwise.

Contacts & Relations

He has connections in the criminal underground that acts as a sort of information hub for his purposes. He was able to use this information to find a particularly shady organization that helped in his desire to clear out the Spider Den.

Some people might get a “shifty” vibe from him, and he understands that, but he claims not to be the type that cheats or harms anyone. Humble and simple is the way of Skaad.

Mannerisms

Skaadius is a well-spoken individual who’s polite if a bit dull. He doesn’t mean anyone any harm and prefers to keep a bit of privacy in his life.

Speech

Skaadius has a husky voice that almost comes off as minotaur-like. Nobody's sure why a tiefling would have that kind of accent, though some suspect he just thinks it sounds cool and wants to imitate it.
