Summary
Corellon is the patron of arcane magic and the original creator of the Eladrin. Corellon was a wild surge of arcane power, existing in the Feywild for millenia before growing a conscience. As they realized the power within their grasp, they created the first creature independant creature; Selüne. After this, Corellon created a few other of the same sort as Selüne, the race now known as the Eladrin. After having created these they ventured to the prime-material.Dogma
Corellon concerns theirself with all aspects of elven welfare. Corellon spurs their people toward self-reliance, vigilance against danger, and appreciation of the world's beauty. It is Corellon's influence that leads elves to study magic and swordplay for the duration of their long lives, to serve as guardians and caretakers of the forests, and to appreciate aesthetic pleasures in spite of their warrior heritage.Bloodline of Corellon
Relation with the Elves
Corellon is the originator of all elven kind and therefor has a relation to all current living elves. However, the different subraces of elves have different opinions towards it.High Elves
The High Elf societies all see Corellon as a mainstay in any religious pantheon they might believe in. Any high-elven arcanist is sure to have a small shrine to the name Corellon.Wood Elves
Many of the Wood Elves that live amongst the other races in the wider world, are as likely to find Corellon a good and relatable god to follow. The Wood Elves of the Dreamgrove, the Feathermoon Kindred, are less likely to see upon any shrine to Corellon with grace. They are taught about Corellon's abandonment of all of its children, after the Drow War. Most Feathermoon Elves have abandoned the use of arcana and use magic in the name of nature or the divine.Additionally, the patron god of the Feathermoon Kindred's druids became Silvanus a few years after the Drow war.
