Faristan the Oathkeeper
"I can see that you did not expect to meet anyone else. Well, I am bound to this place you see, in service to the divine! And the diety I serve long ago charged me with protecting the entrance to their trials... You see? Gosh.. it's been ages since anyone has come down here."
Faristan is a servant of Phaerean, who appears to be an elf. He is bound to serve by guarding the entrance to the Trials of Phaerean, the test by which those worthy of reaching the Seal of Phaerean are judged. He makes those who would attempt the trials swear an oath of secrecy before allowing them to begin.
First, you must make an oath to me, then you will prove yourselves worth by completing the trials. At any time, if you decide that you wish to forfeit, you may call to me, and I will bring you back here, but you may never attempt the trials again if you fail.
