Jäger Ironbeard

Jäger Ironbeard is the youngest child of King Asgot Ironbeard and Queen Astrid Frydenlund of the Iron Islands.
With a shock of white hair characteristic of the Ironbeard Family, Jäger's entire body is covered in scars left by tentacle suckers.
Personal History
Jäger was a member of the Leinkreiger, one of Egar's chosen warriors. They had been assigned a mission to root out cursed pirates that had been raiding a coastal village. The last remaining pirate was overtaken by an otherworldly presence, who told Jäger that his parents were dead and that the Iron Islands had been taken. This was, in fact, true. It was at that moment that Roak Ironbeard, with the power and support of Dhor, killed his parents and slayed or imprisoned anyone who would oppose his rule. The Ironbeards living on the islands either swore their sword to Roak and his new god or were killed off without mercy. The Leinkreiger would not let that stand. They gathered all their own ships and soldiers and attacked the Iron Islands. Jäger was part of this attack. Hundreds of Leinkreiger ships started bombarding the island, but it was over just as quickly as it started. As the water turned black and the sky turned red, black and purple tentacles rose from the depths and swiftly destroyed the attacking armada. Those that didn't drown were captured and forced to turn against Egar. Some gave in and turned. Others died rather than renounce their god. And one fought the torture long enough to be saved by one of Egar's last remaining Devas. This Deva was on a mission to save Jäger from imprisonment and send him to his only allies left--his late brother's friends, who were also in need of help, fighting their way to the top of a vampire's tower--the Ring & Wren. The Ring & Wren Jäger emerged from a pool of water in the Shadowfell...Recent Events
Jäger killed and then revivified his brother Roak after a bloody battle in the throne room of Hammerhead Keep. With his brother and the Islands finally free of Dhor's influence, the question was now who would rule them. It was clear that Roak could not be allowed to rule, but Jäger did not want the responsibility either. Instead, he appointed their cousin Regen Wakerock King Regent. After defeating his brother, Jäger took the First Shard of the Astral Diamond for himself.Social
