The Hill House
Is the Hill House haunted?
Councilman Anders Solmor has requested that a group of adventurers check out the Hill House after several townspeople reported seeing lights coming on inside the house, the apparition of the Grey Woman at the window, and the sounds of screaming from within. Councilman Solmor believes that the disturbances may possibly be the result of smugglers taking up residence in the abandoned villa. This is of particular interest to him since he is trying to purge the town of pirates. The house was previously owned by an alchemist who died with no heirs, after which the property fell into disrepair. More information can be gained by talking to the town's undertaker, Crag. The party went and investigated the outside of the Hill House, where they found a large barrow full of unknown animals underneath a rose bush in the front garden and two poisonous snakes living in the well. The party turned back after the snakes killed Scrimshaw Cutter. The next day, the party returned with two new companions. The front entrance had two sets of footsteps, one that went to the north and another that went west.
