Personal History
Varis’ parents died when he was young, leaving him alone to care for his
younger sister on the streets of
Felstadt. He was approached by a member of the
Jawbones while he was still a child himself and offered money to work a small job for them. It was a job for a nobody, but Varis exceeded expectations and was offered more and more jobs as time went on. Finally, the Jawbones decided to test him to see if he would be a good addition to the gang. Asked to kill just one person for the opportunity to have enough money for both himself and Soora to live off for a long time, it was an easy choice for Varis.
He passed the test and was accepted into the Jawbones as a full member. Once he was accepted into the gang, he rose through the ranks quickly. He had always known what it took to survive, and it was that edge that took him to the top by the time Soora had grown into a young woman. Everything had been going great for them as members of the Jawbones, however, it seemed at some point his little sister had grown a conscience. When Soora refused to complete a hit, it was up to Varis to mete out her punishment. It was precedent for traitors to be executed, but he just couldn’t allow it. After all, hadn’t he done all this for them? Instead, he exiled her from the organization that had kept them afloat all these years, the only home they ever knew.
Recent Events
Once Soora left, it was Varis' intention to never meet her again. He had to work to maintain his position in the Jawbones after such a massive display of favoritism. But several years later, on the Night of the Living Shadows, he met Soora and her new friends, the
