Xuom
Xuom is a high-ranking Cloud Giant ambassador and the previous master of the sentient sword Waythe. There was a time when Xuom was honorable, but over time he began to kill cruelly. This cruelty began to make Waythe resent Xuom, though he could do little about it.
Xuom joined up with Chief Nosnra, Jarl Grugnor, and King Snurre to create a new Ordning. Originally he was stationed with Nosnra, but moved between fortresses as the giant lords were successively killed by an adventuring party.
Princess Kohinoor of the Singing Wood stole Waythe from Xuom’s rooms in Nosnra’s fortress when the giant was occupied in the great hall. Xuom noticed the theft when the party led an uprising of Orcs and attempted to summon Waythe back to him, but was foiled by Dev Lightpaw. Xuom fled the battle at the same time as Nosnra and managed to escape to the fortress of the Frost Giant Grugnor.
At Grugnor’s fortress, Xuom encountered the party again when they entered the tournament being held for Grugnor’s favor. While the party fought the White Dragons Jokul and Hjarnar, Xuom used the distraction to summon Waythe back to him--successfully, this time--and left the room before the party could react. This handicap prompted the party to confront Grugnor before they had intended to, which almost ended disastrously.
The party encountered Xuom one last time as he and two of his subordinates attempted to flee the fortress of the Fire Giant Snurre. The party engaged him in order to free Waythe, who began crying for them when he realized they were near by. After a short fight, Xuom was forced to surrender Waythe back to Kohinoor. In exchange for free passage out, he gave the party information on the fortress and the Fire Giant ranks. He then passed through the ceiling and has not been seen since.
